Hello

My name is Angeliki Filippou and I was born in Greece. I am the mother of two beautiful daughters and have worked as an economist in the energy industry for more than 20 years. I love nature, I believe in the beauty of the human soul and cherish small precious breaks during the day to embrace self-wellbeing.

My father was a pharmacist who specialized in skincare and was a keen believer in the beneficial properties of Crocus. He was very skilled in creating his own crocus skincare products in his laboratory for his customers and friends using traditional handmade practices to preserve the benefits of this precious ingredient.

My mother has always been a very special, intelligent and elegant woman who adored anything tasteful and classy, and I couldn’t help but dream to become like her.

The experiences these two very important people offered me while growing up have played a significant role in my own personal vision for life and the way I want to shape the world around me.


“The birth of an idea”

The idea of Crocus Collector was born in 2014 in Greece, when I was pregnant with my first child at the age of 34.

At that time, I became more conscious about my wellness habits and my interest shifted from conventional luxury skincare with a multiple steps routine to a more practical, efficient and clean approach, due to limited “me-time”. But at the same time, I didn’t want to deprive myself of indulging in the experience of luxurious, effective products of premium design. It was almost impossible to find a premium brand with the following characteristics: Clean but with high performance formulation based on advanced science, with a sustainable yet luxurious design, multi-functional and efficient with the minimum steps.

That was the moment when I realized the gap in the market, not only in Greece but worldwide. That was the moment the idea was born, along with my first child.

I had to rethink skincare ritual. I felt the need to create an experience in the way I was imagining the ideal skincare routine, by transforming it into a selfcare habit and “me-time” moments.

By starting from the customer’s point of view, by crossing the lines that the beauty industry had drawn. By thinking entirely out of the box.

“Making things happen”

Having spent my childhood in the laboratory of my father helping him prepare his products, the idea of creating my own skincare brand felt quite familiar. The challenge now was to approach the best professionals in the industry and to create a team that would make the dream come true. I educated myself in cosmetics formulation, so I would be capable of following up with the industry trends and challenge the R&D team.

After four years of rigorous research and development in collaboration with leading scientific laboratories in Greece, Crocus Collector was launched to the market in the Summer of 2018, and within a year it was awarded 3 times and showcased in the most prominent design websites.


"This is Crocus Collector"

Crocus Collector is the blue monkey that appears harvesting crocus flowers in several ancient murals in the Greek islands (Discover more here). Crocus Collector is also the name of the blue monkey that accompanies you during your skincare experience, reminding you with every application the precious benefits of crocus for your skin.

The Next Day

Growing older, with everyday life becoming more and more complicated raising my two precious girls and growing my own business, I perceive skincare in a different way.

It’s about taking a pause, carving out moments for reflection and indulging in self-care, whether at the beginning, throughout or at the closing of your day.

With Crocus Collector original skincare ritual, I know that I do the best for my skin and my health.

Now, the new challenge is to create new “experiences” and treats for my skin and myself by reshaping my selfcare routine to enhance the sensory dimension, the mindfulness, while at the same time addressing the needs of more mature skin that appear with age.
